Set several years after their last escapade, the Chipmunks are now global pop icons, touring the world with viral hits and sold-out stadiums. But fame comes at a cost. The trailer opens with a concert gone wrong in Tokyo, where a mysterious hacker sabotages their sound system and steals their unreleased album — triggering an international chase to recover their music and protect their brand.

The boys are back with their signature charm — Alvin is still the troublemaker, Simon the brains, and Theodore the heart — but now joined by a new rival band: The Shadow Squeaks, a rogue group of genetically modified chipmunks voiced by Joe Keery, Zendaya, and Jack Black. The result? Musical duels, dance-offs, and one high-speed chase on scooters through the streets of Barcelona.

Visually, the film blends colorful animation with slick live-action scenes, including returning human favorite Dave (Jason Lee), now more of a stressed-out band manager than a father figure.
