Elevation (2024) – Official Trailer Review

The official trailer for Elevation (2024) has dropped, and it looks like a pulse-pounding blend of survival thriller, high-altitude sci-fi, and emotional redemption — all set against the breathtaking and deadly backdrop of the world’s highest peaks.

Directed by George Nolfi and starring Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin, Elevation follows Elias Kane (Mackie), a former black-ops agent turned extreme climate rescue operator, who is forced to guide a group of strangers up a treacherous Himalayan pass. But this isn’t just about survival — the group is carrying a mysterious payload that could determine the fate of the planet’s atmosphere.

The trailer teases avalanche-level tension, dizzying heights, and claustrophobic mountain caves glowing with strange energy. Morena Baccarin plays Dr. Lyra Chen, an environmental scientist with secrets of her own, while Maddie Hasson appears as a young hacker who’s not supposed to be on the mission — but may be the only one who understands what’s really happening.

What starts as a rescue operation quickly descends into paranoia and sabotage, as it’s revealed that the air above 28,000 feet is no longer just oxygen… it’s evolving. Visually, Elevation is stunning — whiteouts, drone shots of razor-thin ridges, and surreal cosmic skies that suggest something much bigger is at play. The score builds slowly, matching the psychological descent of the characters as the stakes shift from survival to global revelation.
