Ice Age 6: Frozen Frontiers (2026) – Official Trailer Review

The herd is back — and colder than ever. The official trailer for Ice Age 6: Frozen Frontiers (2026) just dropped, teasing an epic new adventure that pushes the beloved franchise into uncharted (and icy) territory. With upgraded animation, new characters, and surprisingly emotional stakes, this chilly sequel may be the comeback fans didn’t know they needed.

Set after the events of Collision Course, the story finds Manny, Sid, Diego, and Ellie venturing into the farthest reaches of the prehistoric north after discovering a mysterious glacier emitting strange signals. What they find isn’t just more ice — it’s an ancient frozen civilization, hidden beneath the tundra, and a danger that could reawaken the Ice Age itself.

The trailer is packed with visual gags, fast-paced action, and heartfelt moments. Sid (still delightfully clueless) becomes obsessed with ancient “frozen snacks,” Diego faces a rival saber-tooth from his past, and Manny grapples with protecting his growing family in a world that won’t stop changing. Scrat also returns in a parallel subplot involving time-traveling acorns — because of course he does.

New characters include Lumi, a clever arctic fox inventor (voiced by Millie Bobby Brown), and Thorne, a grumpy mammoth chieftain voiced by Idris Elba. The animation is crisper than ever, with dazzling northern lights, icy caverns, and wild set-pieces like a sled chase down a glacier waterfall.

At its core, Frozen Frontiers is about legacy, adaptation, and the bonds that keep even the strangest herd together. If the trailer is any clue, Ice Age 6 balances nostalgia and freshness with surprising heart — and more than a few frozen laughs. The Ice Age isn’t over. It just leveled up.
