The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 (2026)
“A new world. A bigger adventure. Same mustache.”
Mario and Luigi are back — and this time, the pipes lead deeper than ever before. The Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 is a colorful, kinetic sequel that levels up everything fans loved about the original: more worlds, more characters, more nostalgia, and way more chaos.
Following the defeat of Bowser, the Mushroom Kingdom enjoys peace… until a mysterious rift opens, connecting their world to new lands — including the chilly realms of Ice Land, the fiery depths of Bowser’s forgotten volcano fortress, and even the galaxy beyond. When Princess Daisy (voiced by Zendaya) crash-lands in the kingdom, warning of a cosmic villain known as Tatanga, Mario (Chris Pratt), Luigi (Charlie Day), Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), and Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) must team up for their biggest mission yet — with Yoshi finally joining the adventure in spectacular style.

The animation by Illumination is more dazzling than ever, with stunning set pieces inspired by Super Mario Galaxy, Yoshi’s Island, and even WarioWare. Jack Black returns in hilarious (and slightly bitter) fashion as Mini-Bowser, and fans will love the surprise introduction of Wario and Waluigi, voiced by Danny DeVito and Bill Hader, stealing every scene they’re in.

Funny, fast-paced, and filled with Easter eggs for longtime fans, Super Mario Bros. Movie 2 strikes a perfect balance between heartfelt storytelling and joyous, video game-inspired mayhem. It’s a power-up of a sequel — and that post-credits scene? Let’s just say… Donkey Kong Country might not be far behind.
